I am originally from Hull, Quebec, and have also lived in Ottawa, Santa Cruz, California, and Ghana, West Africa, before settling in Toronto.  I received my training in massage therapy at Kikkawa College in Toronto and have been practicing as a registered massage therapist since 2005.  I am a member in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists in Ontario.

I became convinced of the therapeutic benefits of massage therapy as a university student, busy writing essays and cramming for exams.  Like most people in this computer age, I was spending hour after hour in front of a computer screen, not getting enough exercise, and feeling the pressure of deadlines.

I sought out massage therapy as a way to release all of the built-up muscle tension in my neck and back and to help me relax.  I discovered after my first session that massage was particularly effective in relieving both physical and mental stress, providing an overall sense of calm and allowing me to refocus, recharge and feel rejuvenated.

In the first few years after completing my university studies I continued to receive massage therapy to treat soft tissue injuries that I incurred as a result of working as an organic gardener.  I finally settled in Toronto and embarked on this most gratifying career path of massage therapy.

My Approach to Your Healing:

My approach to treatment is based on the understanding that every person responds differently to stress and injury and therefore each person requires a unique and individual approach to healing.  A treatment or technique that may be very effective for one person may not be effective for someone else with the same condition.

I also believe it is crucial that people are empowered to take their health into their own hands.  To that end, I always make time to discuss exercises and other activities that clients can incorporate into their daily activities that will complement the benefits of the massage treatment plan.  I never hesitate to refer clients to healthcare professionals if I feel they need other support on their healing journey.

Commitment to Environment and Social Justice

I am very committed to promoting environmental stewardship.  I use only biodegradable cleaning agents in my practice and my home office is Bullfrog powered.  I also strive to be a responsible global citizen and donate a portion of my proceeds to various charitable organizations promoting social justice in our world.
